Acoustic booths are rated by speech level reduction under ISO 23351, and Class A is the highest band. In practice it means a normal speaking voice inside is not intelligible outside. Someone a metre away hears that a conversation is happening. They cannot make out the words.

That is the number worth comparing between suppliers, and most of them do not publish it. A decibel figure on a website with no standard attached can mean anything at all. Ask any supplier, including us, for the standard and the report number.

A booth runs from one standard 240V 10A outlet, the same as a photocopier. No dedicated circuit, no hard-wiring, no electrician. Because it is freestanding, no council approval, and generally no landlord approval either — check your lease if you are unsure, but a booth is furniture, not building work.
