Returns Policy

1. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

2. 30-Day Change of Mind Returns

FocusPod offers a 30-day change of mind return period from the date of delivery. To be eligible:

  • The return must be requested in writing to info@focuspod.com.au within 30 days of delivery
  • The pod must be in original, as-delivered condition with no damage, modification, or signs of wear
  • The pod must be professionally de-installed and re-crated for transport

Costs payable by the customer:

  • Return freight from your site back to FocusPod
  • De-installation and re-crating by the FocusPod team (quoted on request)
  • Any costs to repair damage incurred during return transit if not professionally crated

Once the pod is received and inspected, a refund for the pod and any furniture addons will be processed within 10 business days to your original payment method. The original outbound shipping and installation fees are non-refundable.

3. Exclusions from Change of Mind

The 30-day change of mind policy does not apply to:

  • Pods with custom branding, vinyl wraps, custom colours, or non-standard modifications
  • Pods that have been damaged, modified, or show signs of wear beyond reasonable inspection use
  • Hire and event pods (governed by a separate hire agreement)

4. Order Cancellations (Before Delivery)

Cancellation requests are assessed based on production status at the time of the request:

  • Within 24 hours of order confirmation: Full refund, less any payment processing fees.
  • After 24 hours but before production commences: Refund less a 15% administration and restocking fee.
  • Once production has commenced: No refund available. Pods are built to order and cannot be cancelled.
  • Once shipped: Order must be received. The 30-day change of mind policy will then apply.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@focuspod.com.au.

5. Damaged or Faulty Goods

All pods are inspected and pallet-crated prior to dispatch. If your pod arrives damaged or develops a fault, you must:

  1. Inspect the pallet on delivery. Note any visible damage to the crate or pod on the delivery docket before signing.
  2. Notify FocusPod within 48 hours of delivery by emailing info@focuspod.com.au with your order number, photographs of the damage, and a description of the issue.
  3. Retain all packaging until the claim is resolved.

Damage not reported within 48 hours of delivery may not be eligible for claim, as it becomes difficult to determine whether damage occurred in transit or after installation.

Once a fault is verified, FocusPod will, at our discretion and in accordance with the ACL, repair the pod, replace the affected component, replace the pod, or provide a refund.

6. Warranty

FocusPod pods are covered by a manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty terms are provided separately at the time of purchase. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, unauthorised modification, improper relocation, or normal wear and tear.

7. Installation and Site Access

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the delivery site is accessible for a pallet-crated pod and that installation conditions are suitable. Pods are delivered and assembled on-site by the FocusPod team. Refunds will not be issued where:

  • The pod cannot be delivered due to inadequate site access
  • The pod does not fit the intended space due to customer measurement error
  • The customer is not available to receive delivery at the agreed time

Re-delivery fees will apply where delivery is unsuccessful due to factors outside FocusPod's control.
