One Person Office Pods

One person

One-person pods, for calls and concentration.

Two sizes, same acoustics. Delivered free, assembled in an afternoon, running off a normal power point.

FocusPod acoustic office booth installed on an open-plan office floor

A one-person office pod is a freestanding soundproof booth sized for a single occupant to take calls or work without interruption. FocusPod offers two: a compact booth from $7,595 ex GST and a larger one from $10,595 ex GST. Both are rated Class A to ISO 23351-1 at up to 30 dB, ship free Australia-wide, and need no builder, electrician or council approval.

The two sizes

Solo · Solo Plus

Identical construction, acoustics, ventilation and electrics. The only question is how long someone will be inside.

Choose on session length, not budget. Fifteen minutes with a headset is a Solo. Two hours with two monitors is a Solo Plus. Buying the smaller one to save $3,000 and then using it for full days is the mistake people regret; buying the larger one for short calls is $3,000 of floor space nobody needed.

What customers say

Named, with permission
Solo · Sydney

★★★★★

“We added a FocusPod Solo because private phone calls were becoming difficult in our open-plan office. It gets used constantly for client calls, Zoom meetings and focused work. It looks professional, takes up very little space and has freed up our meeting rooms for larger groups.”

Emily Carter
Harbour Lane Finance

Solo · Brisbane

★★★★★

“We originally purchased one FocusPod Solo to see how much use it would get. Within the first week, staff were booking it throughout the day. It has given everyone a quiet place to take calls without interrupting the rest of the office.”

Daniel Brooks
Westbridge Property Group

Solo · Gold Coast

★★★★★

“The Solo has been a great addition to our studio. We have a collaborative workspace, which is excellent most of the time, but it can be difficult when someone needs privacy or complete concentration. The pod solves that problem without taking over the room.”

Sarah Mitchell
Coastline Creative

Solo Plus · Melbourne

★★★★★

“I use the Solo Plus as a proper workstation for most of the day, not just for short calls. There is enough room for my laptop, monitor and notes, and it feels comfortable even during long stretches of focused work. It has made working in an open office much easier.”

Michael Tran
Apex Digital Solutions

Solo Plus · Adelaide

★★★★★

“We chose the Solo Plus for employees who spend several hours each day in video meetings. It feels much more spacious than a standard phone booth and works well as a private office for longer sessions. The lighting and airflow have also been excellent.”

Common questions

Asked by real buyers

How much does a one-person office pod cost?

A one-person office pod costs from $7,595 ex GST for a compact booth sized for calls, or $10,595 ex GST for a larger booth with room for dual monitors and a full-size chair. Both include free delivery Australia-wide. Installation is optional from $995 ex GST.

What size is a one-person office pod?

The compact model is 1080 × 1000 × 2338 mm externally with 942 × 960 mm of floor space inside. The larger model is 1600 × 1375 × 2338 mm externally with 1462 × 1335 mm inside. Both have 2146 mm of internal height.

Will a one-person pod fit through a standard doorway?

Yes. Pods ship flat-packed on a pallet and are assembled in place, so the assembled dimensions never need to pass through a door. The packed pallet is 2310 × 570 × 1270 mm for the compact model, and that 2310 mm length is the measurement to check against your lift.

Is one pod enough for an office?

Rarely. One booth per fifteen people suits a team taking a normal amount of calls, and one per eight to ten for sales or client-facing teams. Two booths together get used considerably more than one, because people stop trying after finding a single booth occupied twice.

Do I need an electrician?

No. A one-person pod draws 40 W and runs from a standard 240V 10A outlet. No dedicated circuit, no hard-wiring, no electrical trade. Wiring is to AS/NZS 3000 with a circuit breaker inside the pod.

How long does it take to assemble?

Two people assemble a one-person pod in two to four hours with basic tools and no floor fixings. Professional installation is available from $995 ex GST if you would rather not.

For two people see two-person pods, or the phone booth page for how these compare to building a room. Full range and pricing on the range page.
