Delivery: from order to unloading
Know when the pod is ready, where the freight service ends and who handles each part of access.
1. Confirm stock, payment and timing
Stock availability, dispatch and arrival are different milestones. We confirm stock and payment status first, then dispatch arrangements and the delivery estimate for your postcode. Do not book an installer or lift against a dispatch date alone.
White with a Grey interior is the stocked finish, subject to availability. Allow an indicative 4–6 weeks for made-to-order configurations; the quote confirms the production and transport schedule. Options and site access can change timing. Ask for written confirmation before committing to a move-in date.
2. Agree the delivery responsibilities
Delivery to the agreed unloading point is free Australia-wide. Internal movement, stairs, cranes, restricted access and building services need an agreed scope before ordering.
| Task | Who arranges it |
|---|---|
| Freight and unloading point | FocusPod confirms the delivery arrangement with you. |
| Building permission, dock/lift bookings and access windows | You or your building manager obtain permission and make required bookings; FocusPod coordinates its delivery against the agreed plan. |
| Movement from unloading point to final room | Confirm the route, handling method and responsible team in the quote. Do not assume freight includes delivery to your floor. |
| Assembly and handover | FocusPod when installation is purchased, or your assembly team using the instructions for the supplied model. |
| Electrical, fire-system or other building work | The appropriately qualified provider agreed for the site. These works are separately scoped. |
3. Check the route and packing
- Measure the final position, door swing, circulation and overhead space. The shell dimensions do not include assembly, ventilation or service clearance.
- Record the unloading area, narrowest doorway, corridor turns, lift door and cabin dimensions, lift capacity and any stairs.
- Have facilities review the assembled pod, furniture and occupant loads at the exact location. Packed weight is a separate transport requirement.
- Get the selected model’s packing and assembly instructions checked against the route. Any unpacking or component handling needs an agreed method.
- Confirm power, fire-system requirements, building permission and any cooling equipment before ordering.
The packed pod does not necessarily travel intact to its final position. Do not assume it can be unpacked at any doorway: confirm component sizes, lifting and protection with the delivery/installation team.
4. Receive and record the delivery
- Keep the agreed unloading point and route clear.
- Photograph the packaging before opening and record any visible damage on the delivery record where possible.
- Check parts against the supplied packing list and keep labels and order details.
- Report damage or access problems promptly to FocusPod with photos; do not assemble damaged parts until advised.
