Almost nothing to do.
Glass, seals and fan filters. There is no ducting, no plumbing and nothing that needs a trade.
An acoustic office pod needs very little upkeep: clean the glass, wipe the door seal occasionally, and check the fan filters every few months depending on how dusty the environment is. There is no ducting, no condensate and no servicing requirement. Replacement seals, fans and lighting components are stocked in Australia.
Routine cleaning
Standard glass cleaner
Microfibre cloth, any normal glass cleaner. The door gets handled constantly so it shows marks first.
Damp cloth, mild detergent
Powder-coated steel and composite panels. Avoid solvents and abrasives, particularly on acoustic fabric surfaces.
Vacuum as normal
Carpet and upholstery are treated like any other office furniture. Spot-clean with an upholstery cleaner rather than soaking.
The two things worth actually checking
The door seal
The gasket is what makes the pod quiet, so it is the part worth keeping an eye on. Wipe it occasionally so dust and grit do not accumulate along the contact face. If the door starts sounding different when it closes, that is your cue — usually cleaning or reseating rather than replacement.
Fan filters
Every few months in a normal office, more often anywhere dusty. A noticeable drop in airflow is the first sign. Filters are accessible without tools and stocked in Australia.
Moving a pod
Pods disassemble and reassemble, so repositioning on a floor or relocating to a new tenancy is straightforward. Short moves can often be done without full disassembly. Doing it properly does not affect your warranty, but damage caused during a third-party move is not covered — see the warranty page.

How do you clean an office pod?
Glass with standard glass cleaner and a microfibre cloth. Powder-coated frame and panels with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Upholstery and carpet vacuumed as you would any office furniture. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners on acoustic fabric.
What maintenance does an office pod need?
Very little. Check the fan filters periodically depending on how dusty the environment is, wipe the door seal occasionally so nothing accumulates on the gasket, and clean the glass. There is no ducting, no plumbing and nothing requiring a trade.
How often should fan filters be checked?
Every few months in a normal office, more often in a warehouse or an environment with dust or fine particulate. A noticeable drop in airflow is the usual first sign.
What if the door stops sealing properly?
Usually the gasket needs cleaning or reseating rather than replacing. Email us photos and we will tell you which. Replacement seals are stocked in Australia if needed.
Can office pods be relocated?
Yes. Pods disassemble and reassemble, so they move within a floor or to a new tenancy. Repositioning a short distance can often be done without full disassembly.
How long do office pods last?
The structure is warranted for ten years and should outlast that with normal use, which is why they are treated as a depreciable asset rather than a consumable. Electrical components have a shorter service life and are replaceable individually.
