How we judged them
Four criteriaEvery supplier claims quiet. These are the four things that actually differ between one-person booths, and the four we would use if we were buying rather than selling.
Certified acoustics. Class A under ISO 23351-1 with a report number, not a decibel figure on a web page.
Airflow, in m³/h. The most under-asked question in this category and the reason perfectly good booths sit unused.
Lead time. Confirm the availability and dispatch window for the exact configuration on your quote.
Published price. If you cannot find out what something costs without a phone call, that is a deliberate choice about how they want to sell to you.

Side by side
The four criteriaWhat we would actually do
Count simultaneous calls during your busiest period before choosing quantity. Solo suits compact call spaces; Solo Plus provides more room for a desk setup. Compare the total cost and floor area of two compact booths with one larger booth against how your team will actually use them.
Two booths can help when calls overlap. One larger pod may be a better fit for a user who needs more working space. Use observed demand and the floor plan to decide.
What customers say
Named, with permission★★★★★
“We added a FocusPod Solo because private phone calls were becoming difficult in our open-plan office. It gets used constantly for client calls, Zoom meetings and focused work. It looks professional, takes up very little space and has freed up our meeting rooms for larger groups.”

★★★★★
“We originally purchased one FocusPod Solo to see how much use it would get. Within the first week, staff were booking it throughout the day. It has given everyone a quiet place to take calls without interrupting the rest of the office.”
Daniel Brooks
Westbridge Property Group
★★★★★
“The Solo has been a great addition to our studio. We have a collaborative workspace, which is excellent most of the time, but it can be difficult when someone needs privacy or complete concentration. The pod solves that problem without taking over the room.”
Sarah Mitchell
Coastline Creative
★★★★★
“I use the Solo Plus as a proper workstation for most of the day, not just for short calls. There is enough room for my laptop, monitor and notes, and it feels comfortable even during long stretches of focused work. It has made working in an open office much easier.”
Michael Tran
Apex Digital Solutions
★★★★★
“We chose the Solo Plus for employees who spend several hours each day in video meetings. It feels much more spacious than a standard phone booth and works well as a private office for longer sessions. The lighting and airflow have also been excellent.”

Common questions
What is the best 1-person office pod in Australia?
Judge on four things: Class A acoustics under ISO 23351-1 with a report number, stated airflow in cubic metres per hour, lead time, and whether the price is published. The FocusPod Solo at $7,595 ex GST delivered is Class A, held in Australian stock, and priced openly.
How much should a one-person office pod cost?
FocusPod Solo starts at $7,595 ex GST and Solo Plus at $10,595 ex GST for the pod. Furniture and installation are additional. For other suppliers, compare an itemised Australian quote for the same capacity and inclusions.
What size is a one-person office pod?
A compact call booth is around 1080 × 1000 mm externally with 942 × 960 mm inside. A larger single-person booth sized for full working days runs about 1600 × 1375 mm externally. Both stand 2338 mm tall.
Should I buy one bigger booth or two smaller ones?
Choose two compact booths when simultaneous calls are the main bottleneck. Choose a larger booth when desk space and the user’s equipment are the priority. Check peak demand and the complete floor area before ordering.
Do cheaper office pods work?
Price alone does not show how a booth will perform. Ask for model-specific acoustic evidence, ventilation details, Australian electrical documentation, warranty terms and an itemised quote. Compare those against the use you need.
