A prayer room pod within your workplace or campus

A prayer pod is an enclosed indoor space dedicated to prayer or reflection within a larger building. It offers a way to create a recognisable room in a workplace, campus or shared facility where a suitable space may otherwise be difficult to find.

The purpose is personal, so the design should start with the people using it. A room intended for individual prayer may have different needs from a shared multifaith room. We can help explore those possibilities with your organisation and its users.

More than one way to create a quiet space

A dedicated place for prayer

Explore an open layout shaped around the way your community uses the room. The floor area, orientation, privacy and any seating can be considered together.

A shared multifaith and reflection room

Develop a flexible space for different users and quiet reflection. Work with us on a layout and identity that reflects the people your organisation wants to welcome.

These are starting ideas. We can develop a different approach around your project.

Develop the layout together

There is no universal furniture package for a prayer room. You may want clear floor space, a chair, a particular orientation or a combination of uses. We can discuss the enclosure size, internal arrangement and privacy around that brief, including bespoke layouts where appropriate.

As the idea develops, we work through practical details such as entry, usable space and the relationship to nearby facilities. Washing facilities, where required, are a separate site provision. You do not need to settle every detail before bringing the idea to us.

Privacy and a calm atmosphere, considered as one

The location of the pod and the treatment of its glazing both influence the experience inside. We can explore screening, finishes and integrated lighting with the aim of creating a room that feels distinct from the activity around it.

For a multifaith space, the intended users can help guide the balance between openness, privacy and flexibility. That conversation shapes a more useful room than choosing from a fixed meeting layout.

An identity that welcomes people in

Custom wraps and stickers can be used gently: a simple room name, an agreed symbol, a calm graphic or colours that belong to the campus. A more prominent exterior treatment can help the space stand out in a large shared facility.

We can develop the wording, graphics and glass coverage with your team. The result should make the room easy to recognise while respecting how your community wants it to be presented.

An idea is enough to start

Tell us who the space is for and what you would like it to offer. We can develop the possibilities with you and your community.

  1. Tell us what you have in mind. A conversation, a reference image or an early idea can be the starting point. You do not need a finished specification.
  2. Explore the options together. We develop the size, layout, privacy, finishes and branding around your priorities, working through the practical details with you.
  3. Review a tailored proposal. We set out the agreed design, inclusions, custom work, pricing and timing so you can decide how to proceed.

Questions about prayer & multifaith pods

Can a prayer pod be supplied with an open floor layout?

Yes, an open or unfurnished layout can be discussed. We develop the usable space and any seating around the intended activities rather than a standard meeting-room arrangement.

Can the same pod serve several faiths and quiet reflection?

That is a brief we can develop with your organisation and intended users. Their needs guide the layout, privacy, room identity and how the space is managed.

Can we customise the size, privacy and signage?

We can explore bespoke size and layout options, glass treatments, finishes, wraps and decals. The final design and available options are agreed in your proposal.

Does the pod include washing facilities?

No. Any washing facilities need to be planned separately within the site. We can discuss how the pod fits into the broader provision.
