Soundproof office booth standing beside a row of desks

Acoustic office pods are available for hire across Sydney for expos, conferences, activations, and monthly rental for projects and pop-ups. Every hire is all-inclusive — delivery, positioning, assembly, testing, pack-down and collection — quoted on the dates, model and venue rather than off a rate card.

Event hire

Expos, conferences, activations

A pod at an event solves the thing every organiser eventually hits: there is nowhere quiet. Media interviews happen in a corridor, sponsors take calls in the car park, and anyone who needs five minutes away from the noise has nowhere to go.

Event hire is one all-inclusive number. Delivery to the venue, positioning and assembly, testing, then pack-down and collection in your bump-out window. No separate freight line and no assembly charge on the day.

Media

Interview and podcast booths

Acoustically treated and ventilated, so recorded audio is usable. Blackout or privacy wrapping where the interior needs to be unseen on camera.

Sponsors

Private meeting space on the floor

Somewhere to close a conversation without walking a prospect out of the hall. Frosted glass where it needs to be confidential.

Delegates

Quiet rooms and parents rooms

Genuinely under-served at conferences. One booth covers calls, feeding, prayer, sensory breaks and anyone who needs the volume to stop.

Sydney venues and access

What we handle

Sydney event hire centres on ICC Sydney at Darling Harbour, plus the Hordern, Royal Randwick, Luna Park and the CBD hotel conference floors. Each has its own bump-in rules and none of them are flexible on the day.

Sydney is the least forgiving city in Australia for access. Dock bookings frequently need to be made days ahead, many venues and CBD towers restrict deliveries to specific windows or after hours, and goods lift allocation is often controlled by a third-party facilities company rather than the venue itself.

None of that is a problem if we know early. Tell us the venue and your bump-in window when you enquire rather than the week before, and we will have the paperwork sorted.

We handle

Dock, lift and floor protection

Sydney has the strictest venue and building access culture in the country. We deal with venue operations directly on access windows, dock allocation, lift bookings and floor protection requirements.

You send

Dates and a floor position

Bump-in window, bump-out time and roughly where it goes. Packed pallets are 1270 mm tall and up to 2650 mm long — the measurement venues ask for.

Monthly rental

Projects, pop-ups and try-before-you-buy

Monthly rental runs up to about six months and suits three situations: a project team in temporary space, an office waiting on a fitout or a lease, and teams who want to know whether pods actually get used before committing capital to six of them. We do not do long-term hire — beyond six months, buying costs less and we will tell you so.

That last one is worth taking seriously. Pods do not fail because they perform badly. They fail because they go in the wrong place on the floor and nobody uses them. A month of rental answers that cheaply, and if you then buy, we credit the rental already paid against the purchase price.

★★★★★

“We added a FocusPod Solo because private phone calls were becoming difficult in our open-plan office. It gets used constantly for client calls, Zoom meetings and focused work. It looks professional, takes up very little space and has freed up our meeting rooms for larger groups.”

★★★★★

“We use the FocusPod Meet for client appointments and video conferences almost every day. It gives us a quiet, professional setting and prevents clients from having to sit in the middle of a busy open office. The finish also matches our workplace extremely well.”

Common questions

From Sydney hirers

How much does it cost to hire an office pod in Sydney?

Hire is quoted per job rather than off a rate card, because dates, model, quantity, venue and term all move the number. Every quote is all-inclusive — delivery, installation, the pod and pack-down — with no separate freight or assembly charges.

Can you deliver to ICC Sydney?

Yes. We handle bump-in and bump-out directly with venue operations, including dock booking, lift access and floor protection. Tell us your bump-in window and bump-out time and we work to it.

How far in advance should I book?

Four to six weeks is comfortable. The hire pool is small and Sydney event dates cluster, so a specific model on a specific week is usually the constraint rather than the price. Inside two weeks depends entirely on what has come back from the previous job.

Can I hire a pod for a podcast or media interviews?

Yes, and it is one of the more common Sydney uses. The booth is acoustically treated and ventilated so recorded audio is usable, and blackout or privacy vinyl is available where the interior needs to be unseen.

Do you do monthly rental in Sydney as well as events?

Yes, up to about six months. It suits project teams, offices waiting on a fitout, and anyone testing whether pods get used before buying. We do not offer long-term hire — beyond six months buying costs less and we will say so. Rental paid is credited if you convert to a purchase.

What access do you need at a Sydney venue?

A dock or ground-level access and a route wide enough for a pallet up to 2650 mm long and 1270 mm tall. We coordinate the dock booking and lift allocation with the venue ourselves.

Got a date and a venue in Sydney?

Tell us the dates, the venue and roughly what the pod is for. We will confirm availability and send an all-inclusive number, usually the same day.
