Meet

Both the Team and Meet are face-to-face lounge pods with two couches and a central table. The key difference is size and depth. The Team is 966 mm deep × 2300 mm wide — a shallower footprint that works well against a wall in a compact office. The Meet is 1785 mm deep × 2300 mm wide, roughly twice the depth, giving each occupant noticeably more personal space and making longer sessions more comfortable.

If you're doing quick 1:1s or short check-ins and space is tight, the Team works well. If you're running back-to-back meetings, conducting interviews, or want a dedicated private meeting room feel, the Meet is the right choice. The larger interior also makes the acoustics more effective — voices have more room to absorb before they hit the walls.

The Meet is rated for 2–4 people. Two people will feel very spacious — each couch can seat two comfortably, so four occupants is a genuine use case rather than a stretch. The ventilation system is spec'd for continuous use with up to four people, and the acoustic panels are rated to 30 dB regardless of capacity.

In practice, most customers use it primarily for two people (interviews, 1:1 meetings, sensitive HR conversations) with four-person sessions for team stand-ups and small presentations. Either way it performs well.

No council approval or building permit is required. The FocusPod Meet is classified as furniture — it's a freestanding, fully modular structure with no fixed connections to the building's walls, ceiling, or floor. It plugs into a standard 240V 10A GPO (any standard power point).

We recommend checking with your building manager or facilities team before installation — most commercial tenancies have no issue, but some managed buildings have their own internal approval processes for large office equipment. This is typically a formality, not a barrier.

The Meet takes 3–4 hours with two people following the included installation guide. All panels are modular with labelled connections, and no specialist tools or trade qualifications are required. Most customers assemble it with an internal facilities team or a couple of reasonably handy staff members.

The furniture package for the Meet includes two couches and one central meeting table — everything you need to make the pod immediately functional from day one. Furniture is sized specifically for the Meet's interior dimensions.

The pod itself arrives without furniture — just the shell with lighting, ventilation, and power outlets. Adding the furniture package at checkout is the easiest way to get everything in one delivery. You can also source your own furniture if you have specific requirements.

The ventilation fan runs at under 45 dB(A) — comparable to a quiet library or a soft whisper at 1 metre. In practice, occupants describe it as a low background hum that becomes imperceptible within a minute or two of sitting down.

The fan runs continuously while the pod is powered, which is by design — this ensures consistent air quality through back-to-back meetings without the need to manually cycle it. It does not interfere with voice calls or videoconferencing.
