The Meet is a 2–4 person lounge pod — two couches facing each other across a coffee table. It's designed for intimate meetings, 1:1s, HR conversations, and relaxed sessions. The Max is a 6-person boardroom-style pod — six chairs around a central meeting table, with three seats per side. It's a different use case entirely.

Choose the Max if you need a proper working meeting room where people are seated at a table, taking notes, presenting, or collaborating on documents. The Max footprint (2255 × 2300 mm) is also slightly deeper than the Meet, giving each occupant more elbow room around the table.

Yes. The Max is spec'd and tested for six occupants. Three chairs sit on each side of the central table, giving each person roughly 65–70 cm of table width — comparable to a standard boardroom arrangement. The ventilation system runs at 100 m³/h, specifically uprated for six-person continuous use.

In practice, customers use it for six-person team meetings, client presentations with a screen at one end, and all-hands planning sessions. It's not cramped at full capacity — the near-square footprint gives it proper room depth.

No council approval or building permit is required. The FocusPod Max is classified as furniture — it's a freestanding, fully modular structure with no fixed connections to walls, floor, or ceiling. Power comes from a standard 240V 10A GPO.

Some managed commercial buildings have internal approval processes for large office equipment — worth checking with your building manager before delivery. This is typically a straightforward process, not a regulatory one.

The Max takes 4–5 hours with two people using the included installation guide. All panels are labelled and connect with standard hardware — no electrician, no specialist tools, no trade qualifications required. It plugs into a standard power point once assembled.

For most customers, the professional installation add-on is the recommended choice for the Max given the size and number of panels. Our team handles full assembly and leaves the pod ready to use — typically completed in a single day.

The Max furniture package includes six chairs and one central meeting table — everything needed to seat six people from day one. All furniture is sized for the Max's interior dimensions.

The pod shell arrives unfurnished, with integrated lighting, ventilation, and power outlets built in. Adding the furniture package at checkout is the simplest way to take delivery of a fully operational meeting room in a single order.

Yes — the Max is the most popular model for display integration. The end wall provides a full-height mounting surface suited to a 65–85" display. Power outlets are available inside, and cable management can be routed through the panel joins.

If you want a screen pre-configured before delivery, contact us before ordering and we can discuss the configuration options. Display mounting hardware is not included as standard but can be arranged.
